A substantial George III silver salver crafted by Richard Rugg, marked for London in 1774. It features a circular shape adorned with embossed floral swags, a bead and scroll edge, and four ball and claw feet, engraved with the Stanley, Earl of Derby's arms. Accompanied by a fitted wooden case from New York retailer Robert Ensko, it includes an inscribed silver plaque reading 'Old English silver tray made in London 1774...'. The case is also inscribed 'the Westchester 1943' on the lid. Measuring 16.25" (41.3cm) in diameter and weighing 59.4 troy oz (1847g).
